The SummerHouse Carlsbad condos were built in 2015 and 2016 and were immediately popular, with homes selling fairly quickly as they became available for sale.

 

WHAT MAKES SUMMERHOUSE SPECIAL?

It was no big surprise this condo complex of just 35 single-story condos, on 2 floors in multiple buildings, at the north end of Carlsbad, was popular. It’s easy to understand, given varying views of the Buena Vista Lagoon and ocean, each access to the beach, and the proximity to everything that Carlsbad Village has to offer, whether you use the condo as a beach home part of the year or live there full-time.

So what makes the SummerHouse Carlsbad condo community so special?

 

Views at the SummerHouse Condos in Carlsbad VillageThe beach is within view – you can hear the waves from your balcony or patio in some cases – and there is direct beach access. Plus there are lagoon views from many homes as well.

 

Carlsbad Village amenities are very close by – the weekly State Street Farmer’s Market, wine tastings, several galleries, coffee shops, shopping, abundant dining including some newish restaurants, the New Village Arts Theater, and numerous events throughout the year (Carlsbad Music Festival, holiday happenings, arts and crafts fairs) are minutes away. You might just leave your car in the garage!

 

SUMMERHOUSE CONDOS AMENITIES

SummerHouse offers elevators from the underground gated garage, and stairs to your home (those on the 2nd floors), a private pool and spa, a fully-equipped fitness center, a fire pit and cabanas for outdoor entertaining, a part-time on-site Concierge, and patios (1st floor homes) or balconies with Cabana Doors to bring the outdoors in and enjoy the breezes and views.

 

SummerHouse has 6 floor plans with either 2 or 3 bedrooms (some units have 2 bedrooms plus a den) and 2 to 3 baths. Living space ranges from 1787 SF to 2702 SF.

 

 

 

SUMMERHOUSE CONDOS - MARKET ACTIVITY AS OF 4/18/2019

As of this writing there is only 1 SummerHouse home for sale, priced at $2,310,000, a first floor unit with 1966 SF of living space, 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, and views of the lagoon.

 

SummerHouse resales do not come up often, and only 4 condos have sold publicly since March of 2018. These homes ranged in sales price from $1,785,000 (for a 3 bedroom 3 bath home with 2171 SF) to $2,585,000 (3 bedroom 3 bath home with 2533 SF and both ocean and lagoon views).
