Extraordinary San Diego Homes for Sale
Equestrian Homes for Sale in the San Diego Area
Like any major metropolitan area, San Diego has some extraordinary homes for sale.
Whether you are seeking a waterfront beach home, an inland estate, an equestrian property, or a penthouse condo downtown, there are some great opportunities for buyers as we head into 2011.
San Diego extraordinary properties come at a price, but that's true anywhere, and relative to places like Malibu, Beverly Hills, Manhattan NYC, and Palm Beach, San Diego luxury homes are a bargain. And there is no lack of luxury communities to explore - Rancho Santa Fe comes immediately to mind, especially when one thinks of high-end equestrian properties; other horsey communities include Olivenhain (in Encinitas), Fallbrook, Valley Center and Del Mar (home of the famed Del Mar Race Track and the Polo Fields).
Here's a sample of the best of what you can buy in San Diego equestrian homes in North County:
RANCHO SANTA FE
The ultimate in equestrian properties will likely be found in the Rancho Santa Fe real estate market. At the top of the list is a 228 acre equestrian estate with track, a 3000 SF home with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, suitable for race horses/thoroughbreds, hunters/jumpers, or dressage horses. This gorgeous estate can be yours for $29,950,000.
Another spectacular find is a 16+ acre horse property (room for 50 horses), with jumping and dressage facilities, a 5700+ SF home with 5 bedroom, 5 baths and 2 half baths, prices at $10,900,000.
For $9,999,000, you can be the proud owner of a 31 acre equestrian estate with 2 20-stall barns, offices and apartments, 2 guest homes, pool, tennis court and a 6192 SF home with 4 bedrooms and 5 baths.
OLIVENHAIN (Encinitas)
On the less expensive side is this 3+ acres equestrian property with a 2897 SF home offering 4 bedrooms (+ 2 optional) and 3.5 baths, paddocks corrals, an arena and ppol, all for $1,725,000.
FALLBROOK
Be the proud owner of this terrific equestrian estate on 17+ acres with barn, paddocks, pastures, sandy riding ring, and a 6600+ SF home with 4+ bedrooms and 4.5 baths for $2,950,000. There are several other equestrian properties priced in the $2 million + range.
VALLEY CENTER
Perhaps the best equestrian estate offering in the Valley Center real estate market is this 17+ acre horse property with 15-stall bar, paddock, pool, and a 5899 SF homes with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, plus a guest home with 3/2, priced at $2,490,000.

I can, without hesitation, highly recommend the Sunshine Pros, who offer a broad range of handyman services in the Coachella Valley (the California Desert cities of Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indio, La Quinta, Rancho Mirage, Indain Well, and other areas nearby (e.g., Cabizon)).

The burning question these days, with some of the usual politics, name-calling, innuendos, disputes about monies owed to the city of Del Mar and more, is whether the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack will stay or will they go.
Currently owned by the State of California (now we all know about the budget crisis the state has at the moment), the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Race Track is a profitable operation, so some folks say - depends on what you read.
