Located about 35 miles north of San Diego, Carlsbad is a growing community of about 95,000 offering a wide array of educational opportunities, amenities (restaurants, shopping), outdoor activities, terrific weather and beautiful beaches. The Bluffs is a new complex of 68 townhouse-style homes located near Tamarack Avenue and within walking distance of the Aqua Hedionda Lagoon. Phases 1 and 2 have already been sold and occupied, and Phase 3 is now being offered for sale. Two different plans are offered at The Bluffs in this release, with 3 bedrooms (optional 4th in some units), 2 and ½ baths and 1842 SF or 2112 SF on 3 floors. Prices range from $649,900 to $749,900.
Some of the homes in the next phase will have great lagoon views, being directly across the stret and a few will also have ocean views; some of the homes in the current release are water-view homes (e.g., Building F) but not all. Amenities offered at The Bluffs include a clubhouse (including flat screen TV, fireplace and game tables) with pool and spa, a bocce ball court, and a badminton/volleyball court. Residents can also walk down the hill to the Aqua Hedionda lagoon and participate in a number of water activities at the only lagoon in Carlsbad where these are allowed (boating, jet skies, etc.). The ocean, although it is only ½ mile away, is about a 10 minute drive due to the freeway. Children attend the Carlsbad Schools. The Bluffs is located about 1 mile from Carlsbad Village with plenty of shopping (clothing, surf boards, bikes, jewelry, antiques, artwork and much more), a broad range of restaurants, hotels, a train station (for the Coaster commuter train running between Oceanside and San Diego) and much more. The Village is also the home of several large art fairs (the upcoming Carlsbad Village Faire will be held Sunday November 4, 2007) and a terrific farmer's market (Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings). If you are considering buying a new Carlsbad home, for primary or vacation use,and are interested in being near the lagoon and the ocean, The Bluffs may be just right for you. Homes may be rented out but for no less than a 30 day lease. |
