If you need to baby proof your new home, in the case of buying a new home, or the one you are living in, you have two options:
Do it yourself
Hire a "Baby Proofing" company
Yes, there is a local company that provides baby proofing services for those folks who don't have the time or initiative to take on the task themselves, or perhaps are relocating and moving into their new home and want it ready when the movers arrive.
Baby Safe Homes in San Diego will come out to your house and provide an on-the-spot safety analysis of what you can and should do to baby proof with a cost estimate. Then, based on your decisions, they will, right then and there, do whatever baby proofing you decide you want to make your home safe.
Having moved well beyond the need for baby proofing many years ago, and having dealt with that sort of thing in the old tried and true trial-by-error fashion (yes, my kids both survived and are doing well as young adults), this was news to me. So I thought I would pass it along.
I'm curious if anyone has used a company like this?
And further, what are your thoughts on using such a service vs. "going it alone?"
