The Whole Foods Market at Pacific Station has been in process for some time, and it has been fun to watch the progress from a hole in the ground in Encinitas to a Whole Foods Market. We still have a ways to go but it will be worth it.
Here are a few shots taken over a fairly long period, the most recent this afternoon.

The other cool thing about this project is that the developer donated all the sand they dug up and had it carted over to Carlsbad for rebuilding Ponto Beach, a sand replenishment project in South Carlsbad back in the early part of this year.

In addition, there will be 21,700 SF of commercial/retail space adjacent to the complex providing services (and possibly jobs) to the residents. A 3600 SF daycare center will also be built. For those who commute by car (to San Diego and points south, or north to Los Angeles), access to the I5 freeway is ¾ mile away.
