Cardiovascular Disease Foundation 5K Run/Walk for Life is April 10, 2011 in Oceanside California
The 8th Annual Cardiovascular Disease Foundation 5K Run/Walk for Life will be held on April 10, 2011 in Oceanside, along with a FREE Community Health Fair.
Here are the details:
LOCATION: Oceanside Pier Amphitheater, 200 N. Strand, Oceanside, CA 92054
TIME: 8 am until 2 pm
FEE: $20 per person through March 10; After March 10 fee is $30. Kids 12 and under are FREE. Special offer - Military, Police, Fire and their Families FREE with ID
WHAT: A 5K Walk OR Run (non-competitive). Walk or run by yourself, but better yet get a team together - friends, neighbors, colleagues from your company/office
Along with the Cardiovascular Disease Foundation 5K Walk/Run, a FREE Health Fair will offer more than 40 health service vendors, FREE Health Screenings, Live Bands, Entertainment, a Kids Zone, Face Painting, Prizes and More!

All proceeds will benefit the Carlsbad Cardiovascular Disease Foundation's FREE programs and services in San Diego County to teach residents how to prevent, treat and diagnose heart disease, stroke, and their many risk factors.
VOLUNTEERS!
We need VOLUNTEERS for a variety of jobs at the event - parking, monitoring the course, registration, food and beverage booths, trash control, Welcome tables and raffle, first aid and water, and more. PLEASE HELP if you are in the area.
DONATIONS are welcome and appreciated if you prefer to not run or walk, and please consider sponsoring others who are participating!!
SPONSOR our Active Duty, Millitary, Fire & Police who are participating. We suggest a donation of $20 per person. You can donate at the Cardiovascular Disease Foundation website.
