No doubt no one will ever forget this day of horror 10 years ago.
And on this day dedicated to the memory of the 9/11 tragedy and the many lives lost, there were numerous memorials and people remembering in their own special way, with friends and family, or perhaps alone.
Out for a brisk walk along the beach in Carlsbad this morning I came upon this fellow creating his own memory in chalk on the sidewalk above the beach. It wasn't complete and I plan to go by tomorrow if I can to see the final work. I hope it will remain for sometime, at least until rain, although I suspect someone will come along and ruin it just because it's there.
But the thought of hundreds of people who walk along the "concrete boardwalk" in Carlsbad Village seeing this and thinking about that awful day and remembering is a nice thought.
Hopefully no one really needs a reminder. But it's nice to have it anyhow.
9/11 ~ NEVER FORGET
