Carlsbad Tourist Attractions
Carlsbad California is known for many things - its beautiful beaches, Legoland, the La Costa Resort and Spa, the Chopra Center, and the Four Seasons Aviara Resort (which is, IMO, sadly leaving and the resort will be run by Park Hyatt Hotels).

Carlsbad has a terrific reputation as a place to vacation or to retire, and there is plenty of golf in and around the city. Carlsbad also has quite the reputation as an arts town, with the city-owned Cannon Art Gallery, well known galleries in Carlsbad Village (the Ivannfy-Uhler Gallery being my fave), two of the largest 1-day arts and crafts fairs in the country (the Carlsbad Village Street Faire), and the very popular Carlsbad TGIF Jazz in the Parks series n the summer.

But did you know that Carlsbad is also known for strawberry fields and other agriculture? Folks don't often realize that there is still substantial agricultural business and land in Carlsbad amidst all the residential communities. These photos were taken along El Camino Real just south of Tamarack.
NOTE: While Carlsbad grows a lot of strawberries, the town also has a lot of tomatoes, which is what you see in these photos of all the stakes.
