Encinitas Street Fair is This Weekend in Downtown Encinitas

 

Fair season is upon us and it’s time again for the 29th annual Encinitas April Street Fair in downtown Encinitas, this Saturday and Sunday April 28 and 29.

 

Over 450 vendors will greet visitors and shoppers from 9 am until 5 pm both days along main street (Route 101/Coast Highway) in downtown Encinitas.

 

Encinitas Street Fair 2012The Encinitas Street Fair will offer a beer garden (always popular) sponsored by the well-known Stone Brewing Company, lots of live music from 4 music stages (one at the Lumberyard), and a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Encinitas Fire Department held at the 7-Eleven parking lot (D Street and the Coast Highway) to benefit the fire fighters.

 

A wide range of arts and crafts booths will inspire you to part ways with your money, and large crowds are typical at the Encinitas Street Fair so plan accordingly.

 

The Coaster train station is a block from all the excitement and the North County Transit Authority is offering special fares.

 

The Encinitas Street Fair is sponsored by the Downtown Encinitas Mainstreet Association (DEMA).

The San Diego County Fair 2011 Begins June 10 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Del Mar CA

It's hard to believe, but the much beloved San Diego County Fair 2011 starts in just 12 day, beginning June 10th and running through Monday July 4th.

This 22-day extravaganza (open daily except Mondays, excluding July 4th) is sure to bring in the crowds, at it always does, at the fair as well as on the neighboring roads and freeway.

Tickets are $13 for a one-day admission for adults, or buy their super pass ticket for $22, which gets you 22 days of admission - that's a heckuva deal if you plan to go more than once.

The San Diego County Fair 2011 will offer something for everyone, with tons of activities, things to see and do, and food - competitive events, atrractions (animals, produce), concerts (including the Solid Gold series - performers, and music, popular in the 1960s and 1970s), games, rides, and more food than you can imagine, and probably some you don't want to.

The San Diego County Fair 2011 will be held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, CA, off Via de la Valle from the freeway or the Coast Road/Route 101.

The Carlsbad Village Faire is Coming to Carlsbad November 7, 2010 

Downtown Carlsbad Village will host the Carlsbard Village Faire on November 7, 2010San Diego County's largest street fair, the Carlsbad Village Faire, is being held on Sunday November 7 in Carlsbad Village, from 8 am until 4 pm. 

The Carlsbad Village Faire is one of two major outdoor fairs held in Carlsbad Village each year, in April and November. 

The Carlsbad Village Faire is held along the main road, Carlsbad Village Drive, and spills over onto side streets including Grand Avenue. 100,000 or so attendees are expected, and around 900 vendors will provide more shopping opportunities than you can imagine. 

Or perhaps you can. 

Whether you are interested in clothing, arts and crafts, gift items, collectibles, garden items, antiques, or household products you will probably find jsut want you want. If you're hungry you won't be disappointed - there'll be a huge selection of foods to enjoy. Kids will have fun too - face painting, a bounce house, rock climbing and other activities will make their day special, too. And of course you can explore a myriad of restaurants and retailers in the area who will also welcome your visit. 

Parking is a challenge in downtown for this event, so get there early. And consider taking advantage of the free parking and shuttle service from the Westfield Mall (at the 78 and El Camino Real/Jefferson) and the Poinsettia Coaster Station on Avenida Encinas between Palomar Airport Road and Poinsettia. 

The Carlsbad Village Faire is free and well wroth a visit, even if just to enjoy the sights, sounds and people watching.

San Diego County Fair 2010 is coming

San Diego County Fair in Del Mar 

It's an exciting week in San Diego, for tomorrow, Friday June 11th , is the start of the San Diego County Fair.

The theme for the San Diego County Fair this year is "Taste the Fun" so of course one can expect a huge array of food, expectable and not. And if you don't stuff your face, at least a little, how will you have the energy to explore all that the San Diego County Fair has to offer?

This year the 22-day fair runs through July 5, 2010 (the San Diego County Fair will be closed on June 14, 21 and 28) so there's plenty of time to enjoy all that the fair has to offer - concerts and entertainment, food, rides and games, animals of all sorts including interactive experiences, contests, and a zillion vendors and exhibits. If you can find something to interest you at this year's San Diego County Fair then there's a problem.

Grand Stand at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del MarHeld at the Del Mar Fair Grounds in Del Mar for many years, and undergoing a couple of name changes, the San Diego County Fair is a popular, well-attended event that causes heavy traffic on the nearby 5 freeway and side streets, so be prepared for delays (even if you aren't going to the fair).

Tickets are $13 for adults, $7 for kids 6 - 12 (free on Tuesdays) with those 5 and under free, and $7 for folks 62 and older.

OR buy a season pass for the entire fair for just $22, WOW! You can buy tickets in person or on-line.

 

Don't miss the 2010 San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar. And keep in mind that Del Mar racing season follows soon behind.
