I still marvel at the fall changes we see and feel here in Southern California, even after being here for 6 years.
Lots of people said that the weather is aways the same in California, which of course if far from the truth. The seasonal changes, including fall, are not nearly as dramatic as we experienced during my 20 years in the Boston area, but changes they are nonetheless.
In addition to the changes in the tree colors, we also had lots of flowers, some of which tend to bloom more in the fall, like the Bird of Paradise. And we still have fruit on the trees.
It seems particularly cruel to talk about the weather and the greenery given what so many others back East are dealing with. I remember it all to well, which is one big reason I am here,
Perhaps these photos will be enjoyable for those dealing with crappy weather. Although certainly power and heat will mean far more than any photos can possibly could.
