It’s December and Time for the Annual Holiday of Lights and Holiday Hayride in Del Mar

It’s holiday time again, which means the 17th Annual Holiday of Lights and the “Holiday Hayride” are back at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar California.
The Holiday of Lights opened Thanksgiving evening, offering the largest animated seasonal display on the West Coast and a fun tradition for many residents in the area. There are over 400 lighted animated scenes to drive past along a 1.5 mile course.
Another popular part of the festivities is the “Holiday Hayride” on Friday December, 2, 9 and 16, followed by music, carolers, fire pits for marshmallow roasting, food and even drinks for the over-21 crowd. The Holiday Hayride is $10 per person (children under 3 free.
The Annual Holiday of Lights is open until January 1. You can buy tickets on-line at the Holiday of Lights website – cost is $14/car for up to 5, $16 per car with 6 or more.
