It was a fitting way to spend some time this afternoon, on the beach in Carlsbad Village on the eve of the New Year.
It was chilly for us So Cal beach folks, about 50, and I even had shoes on, but it was balmy I suppose in comparison to many other parts of the country. We certainly are not experiencing the nasty weather so many other people are, for which I am thankful. My heart goes out to all who are dealing with ugly weather and traveling at this time.
Lots of people out and about, both vacationers and residents. It was a great day to walk on the beach and take in the views, the people, and the bird life. This is one of the few areas in Carlsbad where there are TRUW ocean front homes - further south most are on the east side of the Coast Road/Route 101.
