Pelly's Fish Market and Café in Carlsbad CA

Pelly's Fish Market and Café in Carlsbad is a real find.
If you are a seafood lover looking for a good place to eat lunch or dinner, or to snare some fresh fish for the grill, Pelly's Fish Market and Café on Avenida Encinas just off Poinsettia near Aviara is well worth a visit.
Pelly's Fish Market and Café is sort of hidden away in a strip mall near the 5 freeway. But don't let whatever impression that might create keep you away...you'll miss out on some terrific fish tacos (my faves) and seafood salads and sandwiches.
As one would expect and hope for, Pelly's Fish Market has an amazing fresh fish counter.
They also do catering for that special occasion. It's a great place to just pop in on a whim at lunchtime to grab a bite if you are on the run.
Pelly's Fish Market and Café is at 7110 Avenida Encinas in Carlsbad in the mall with Albertsons, about in the center toward the back. You can dine in or out.
For more information visit Pelly's Fish or call 760-431-8454

Pelly's is open Monday through Saturday 10am - 7pm; Sundays 10am - 6pm

The Fish House Vera Cruz in Carlsbad (there’s one in San Marcos and in Temecula, too) has a great reputation for fresh seafood, simply prepared, as well as large portions (many of the dinners come with 2 choices of side dishes, more than most folks can eat).
Just a couple of blocks from the beach in downtown
There are usually at least 20 different fish choices, some of which you NEVER see in the big chain stores – how about Ono? Thresher shark (it’s excellent for grilling)? Cobia? When do you see Orange Roughy in the chain stores?
