2011 Carlsbad Triathlon and Health and Fitness Expo is Coming July 9 and 10, 2011 in Carlsbad CA
It's that time of year again here in Carlsbad CA - time for the famous Carlsbad Triathlon (this is the 30th year), taking place at Tamarack Surf Beach in Carlsbad on Sunday July 10th.
The Carlsbad Triathlon is one of the world's longest running triathlons. The Carlsbad Triathlon is a sprint distance race, with a 1K open ocean swim, a 25K bike ride, and a 5K run. Because of the course terrain this triathlon works well for newbies as well as elite athletes. The Carlsbad Triathlon is limited to 1000 participants and there is still time to register (no registration on the day of the race).
There will be a Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, July 9that the Westfield Plaza Camino Real (at El Camino Real and the 78 freeway) from 10 am until 3 pm. The fun continues with the Expo on race day, Sunday July 10th at Tamarack Surf Beach from 6 am until 12 noon.
