The Festival of Trees Charitable Benefit in Sedona Arizona December 2011
On a recent trip to Sedona we have the opportunity to see the Festival of Trees at the popular Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village in the heart of town.
The Festival of Trees featured 40 gorgeous trees decorated by local artists and area organizations in the La Sala de los Milagros Ballroom at the Tlaquepaque Village, a unique Southwestern-style shopping area of 40+ shops and galleries that oozes charm, especially at this time of year. It was snowing while we were there – a shock to the system of this Southern-Californian – which added to the festive holiday atmosphere.
The Festival of Trees is a benefit, with all the trees available through a silent auction, or they could be bought outright. There was also a raffle for a host of other festive decorations, stuffed animals, ornaments, and gingerbread houses.
All funds ($25,000 last year) raised from the Festival of Trees benefits Toys for Tots, sponsored by the Sedona Marine Corps League, and Arizona Indian Living Treasures (AILTA).
The Festival of Trees was amazing, and a fun thing to do during our short visit to Sedona. The photos will definitely put you in a festive mood! Enjoy!
