Movies under the Stars are always popular, and the City of Carlsbad is hosting the Leo Carrillo Film Festival at the famous Leo Carrillo Historic Ranch Park in Rancho Carrillo in Carlsbad off Melrose.
The Leo Carrillo Historic Ranch Park is a wonderful preservation of the land, hacienda and other buildings assembled by popular Hollywood film and TV star Leo Carrillo (perhaps best known as Pancho in the TV series “The Cisco Kid”). A visit to this beautiful park in the heart of the Rancho Carrillo master planned community is well worth it, and it’s free!

The Leo Carrillo Film Festival starts TONIGHT and will continue for the next 4 Friday evenings. And it’s FREE!
Different films are offered each evening, with episodes of “The Cisco Kid” shown before each feature. The grounds open at 5 so you can enjoy a picnic first, with movies starting at sunset. And why not take time for a tour of the grounds if you haven't been there before.
