I found a terrific Encinitas Massage Therapist today - Kendra Stidolph HHP Massage Therapy in Encinitas. And, coincidentally, she happens to be in the same office as my favorite Chiropractor in Encinitas, Scott Lund Chiropratic Encinitas.
Kendra is a Carlsbad native who practices Lomi Lomi massage, a Hawaiian form of bodywork, and had the great fortune to study with Kahu Abraham Kawai'I and his wife Ho'okahi on Kaui and Oahu.

While I have had lots of different types of massages, including Swedish, Shiatzu and Deep Tissue, the Lomi Lomi massage was a new, and most pleasant, massage experience. Lomi Lomi is a very fluid massage, according to Kendra, and this form of massage works at clearing blocked areas due to tension by repeatedly going over the muscle numerous times.
The Lomi Lomi massage practitioner uses more than just the hands to derive the maximum benefit of the massage which also, interestingly, means less stress and injury to the hands from some other forms of massage.
There was also more stretching and movements of arms and legs during the Lomi Lomi massage, which was also relaxing but served to make me realize the importance of keeping the major joints (shoulders and hips) fluid and flexible. Time to get back to yoga classes.
The massage room was comfortable, attractively decorated, and designed to promote relaxation, as one would expect. And the quiet Hawaiian slack key guitar music in the background was subtle but a most pleasant accompaniment. I could almost imagine having my massage on some Hawaiian beach.
Another service this Encinitas Massage Therapist provides is Pregnancy Massage, designed to help moms-to-be deal with the many body changes occurring during pregnancy, including back, hip and lower extremity issues. Once again, Kendra had the opportunity to train with a leading practitioner in pregnancy massage, Kate Jordan.
If you are seeking an Encinitas Massage Therapist, Kendra Stidolph Massage Therapy in Encinitas gets my hearty recommendation. Give her a call at (76) 275-2214 to arrange an appointment. Her massage therapy practice is at 1524 Encinitas Boulevard, Encinitas (at Lund Chiropractic Encinitas).

Reminds me of how much I love reflexology on my feet. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed that luxury! Thanks Jeff. Great interview for sure.
You know Jeff, I use to treat myself to a massage with each closing. I'll have to start that again!
Hope you have a great day!
Paul
Jeff - I think this might be a good substitute for that trip to Hawaii you have been promising me! At $65 an hour, it will certainly be more cost effective -- and a great close-to-home escape! Love, Kay (your wife!!)
