The "Because I Care Community Fair" will be held this Saturday at the San Marcos Senior Center at 111 Richmar Avenue in San Marcos California from 9 am until 1 pm.
The focus of this community fair is providing a wide range of resources focused on the seniors population, with an opportunity for family members to earn more about the services and products available to them and their loved ones. There will be educational workshops on a range of topics and the chance to learn more about hospice, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, legal issues, bone health and a host of other important topics for seniors and their families.
Food and live music, blood pressure screenings, individual consultations and talks on a variety of topics will highlight the day.
I'm very pleased that the Professional Care Alliance will also be there to share information about the services we offer.
Professional Care Alliance (PCA) is a consortium of select professionals supporting the health, home and financial needs of seniors and those physically challenged. The goal of the Professional Care Alliance is to provide services for seniors and others who need assistance following a crisis, during and following a difficult life transition, or simply as the result of being a senior. Services include, but are not limited to nursing care, real estate, financial planning, legal assistance, handyman repairs, medical equipment, and mobility, and these services are NOT exclusive to seniors.

This sounds like lots of fun for a great cause. The concept is fantastic. I like "causes" for lack of a better word, that are close to home, and for people who genuinely need the help.
