I had the opportunity to spend some time at Balboa Park yesterday with some out-of-town family. This is part of a terrific sculpture outside one of the many museums in the park.

Joan - it was short but great fun. The weather was beautiful as well. What more could you ask for?
Hannah- I did indeed. Wish I had more time. But that means another visit is in order.
Jeff
Wow what a great sculpture Jeff. I can just imagine all the hours it must have taken to create it.
What fun. What a great sculpture. Nice that the weather cooperated.
Excellent post Jeff! Have fun!
Thank very much for sharing!
Gary - you bet. There are thousands of marbles, colored glass, tile and more.
Melissa - it was a gorgeous San Diego day.
Adam - I though folks would enjoy seeing the interesting sculpture - it was an attention grabber.
Jeff
Hi Jeff!
I missed getting up there when I was in town for NAR. So sad, there was so much to do and not enough time to do it. I really need to come back!
kk
Hey KK - I did not get to NAR, even though I am in the area. Are you going in May to the mid-year meetings? CRS Sellabration in Las Vegas in July? NAR in New Orleans? Would love to catch up. On-line is cool BUT...
Jeff
I've only been to Balboa Park once, but loved all of the different museums. Mosaic is the perfect medium for this sculpture.
Jeff....that took some talent! Great shot!
Hi Jeff, You just reminded me that membership renewal is coming due. I have to tell you I have been there so much the animals know my face and the hyenas get very excited and laugh out loud, very loud come to think of it. I get a wave by the elephants, ignored mostly by the Pandas as they are always eating and could care less. Other wise I am treated ok by the animals, mostly ignored more than anything. But when I ask them to pose for photos, all hell breaks loose. No worries, I carry brushes and mirror for the Chimps ( they are very sensitive about me teasing them that their hair is standing up ,like Alfalfa of the Our Gang comedy kids). Otherwise, we all sort of tolerate each others looks, LMAO.
