A Visit to the Julian Pie Factory in Julian CA

On a recent day trip to Julian California, a former Gold Rush town about 50 miles inland, we stopped in to buy a pie at the famed Julian Pie Factory after enjoying lunch at our fave place, the Julian Grille.

Julian has been a popular apple destination for years, with their well-known Julian Apple Days Festival in the fall, and the Julian Pie Factory is a must-stop if you like apple pie, although they offer many others as well. The apple peach crumb is probably my favorite.

While you can buy Julian Pies at many local stores in our area (watch, because they vary in price from place to place) where it may be more convenient than a pie run out to the mountains, the Julian Pie Factory offers great local color and people watching, with outdoor seating to enjoy the scenery in this quaint mountain town.
Check out the Julian Pie Factory the next time you are in the area.
Or plan a day trip to enjoy all that Julian has to offer in teh mountain of San Diego County.

Great photos - I could almost smell it! Made me want a pie. Not that making me want a pie is any great achievement but making me want to try a Julian Pie Factory pie is!
Oh, I am SOOO jealous. I moved from San Diego two years ago and am missing my annual pilgrimage to Julian for some cinnamon ice cream and fresh apple pie. I can still taste it. Have a slice for us too!
Jeff: I was there about a month ago on a weekday afternoon. There was a horse drawn carriage going up and down the street. Juline's a great place, great pictures.
I have a feeling I have been here and watched others eat. I don't eat sugar. It is torture :(
Oh, my! I want pie! Right now! And it's a little too late to go out to a bakery. Oh, well!
Thanks a lot Jeff....now I'm hungry!
I can smell those pies stacked in that shelving unit from here !

That's all I need ...another slice :) :) Oh, what the heck....pass one of those mouth watering pies over here!
