The model homes at CopperWood, a new construction development in La Costa Oaks in Carlsbad are being released. This development has almost completely sold out, at prices in the $800s up to about $1.2 million, with a number of homes with fabulous distant ocean, lagoon and nearby canyon views.

There are 3 CopperWood models (they are beautiful!!) that will be released on or about November 3 with pricing to be determined and announced around October 30th. Given the lot sizes and views (canyon and ocean), especially from the one fronting the canyon, I would expect in the $1.1 - $1.2 range with the upgrades and landscaping.
BUT you still have options for other new construction homes.
There are several new CopperWood homes at La Costa Oaks currently under construction in the final phases still available all under $1 million; some under $900K and in the low $800s. One in particular is my favorite - a front-on canyon and ocean view Plan 2 home with 3511 SF, a 6000+ SF lot, 4.5 baths and 4 bedrooms plus media room and great room, price at $970,990.
