The La Costa Greens community has appealed to Carlsbad home buyers and has prospered, and several of the neighborhoods are sold out, with others very nearly so. Just a handful of homes remain, for example, at the gated community of Balearas, the most expensive (in the low to mid $1 millions) of the La Costa Greens villages.
Viridian is being built in 8 phases including the model homes (there have already released phase 2), and homes are selling well; a total of 91 homes will be built.
As with the other La Costa Greens homes, residents pay Mello Roos fees as well as HOA fees. Viridian homes are priced beginning in the $900,000s, with the most expensive a bit over $1 million. These homes range in size from 2823 SF (for the single story home) up to about 4600 SF. There are 3 - 5 bedrooms, depending on the plan, with 2.5 to 4.5 baths.
