The 5 K Run/Walk for Life in San Diego was a Huge Success
Kudos are due the Carlsbad Cardiovascular Disease Foundation for the 5 K Run/Walk for Life at Seaport Village in Downtown San Diego today which was a Huge Success.
There were lots of runners and walkers, plenty of funds raised for a wonderful cause, dozens of volunteers who believe in helping, many health fair vendors, and a very special thank you to Malinda Engerer, Executive Director, Nancy Kelly, Director of Programs and Major Gifts, and Sandra Zeitzew, Non-profit Consultant, for organizing and managing a fabulous event at the Embarcadero Marina Park, Seaport Village.
And of course a very special thanks to all the runners and walkers who participated, and to those who donated additional funds and participated in the raffle, the proceeds of which sponsor FREE programs and services in San Diego County to teach residents of all ages how to prevent, treat and diagnose heart disease, stroke, and their many risk factors.
It was an honor and privilege to be part of the volunteer group who made this happen on a beautiful day in San Diego.

Jeff, we also have a similar event coming up soon. This reminds me that I got to get a blog up about it.
Karen - it was a very cool event (my second) and we had a good turnout. I don't know the final tally yet but I know we raised more than last year.
