A Holiday Tree by the Beach in Carlsbad

Holiday Tree at the Beach

Holiday Tree by the beach in Carlsbad

I was out running errands, and being such a beautiful day, and having a few moments of spare time, I decided to enjoy a walk on the beach at Terramar and then a short drive down the Coast Road/Carlsbad Boulevard.

I was going to make a u-turn to head back to the Village when I spied this Holiday Tree by the Beach and couldn't resist stopping. So cool that someone, perhaps multiple people, took a few moments to decorate this gnarly tree on the bluff overlooking the beach and the Coast Road.

Not a traditional Christmas tree by any stretch of the imagination Jeff Dowler but it is a lovely one to celebrate the holiday!

Love the fact that an ordinary tree is converted to a Christmas tree, glad you stopped and shared Jeff.

Random acts of Christmas kindness....there have been times when I'll see a lonely little tree that happens to have had some sweet soul put decorations on it. Kind of a Charlie Brown moment, I guess!

Hi Jeff, I was driving today and saw a bare tree with just a few ornaments, I actually liked it.

That is kind of cool.  I think I'll do that to one in my neighborhood when no one is watching.

How cool is this, Jeff? I've done that on trees in my own yard, but not in any public space.

There is a family in Juno Beach that has Christmas on the beach with a decorated tree and a 6 foot tall Santa. They erect a tent and have a party. This is fun stuff to see.

Thanks Lisa Von Domek  - such fun to see this and know how many people drive by every day and see it too! Kudos to the decorators!!

I love this. My cousins did something similar for their mom (my aunt) just before she died. She mentioned once that a certain tree on the side of the road would make a nice Christmas tree and how she wished she could decorate it. She was very sick and in a wheel chair, so her children surprised her by decorating it. The interesting thing was, this tree was located in a field on the other side of a barb wire fence. They had to maneuver the fence to do it. Not to mention trespass. LOL

She was so happy, so it was well worth it to them.

Hi Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Real Estate

What a nice way to think about it. No doubt there are other examples around but this one in such a public setting was so cool to see. Hundreds of people drive down this road every day!!

Jeff, wonder who decorated this tree?    This would be quite a treat finding this tree!

Hi Beth Atalay

Sometimes the simple things are the most special. I love discovering holiday decorations that are a bit different. I probably miss alot when I am not paying attention.
