More Summer Fun Coming Your Way at the
2018 Float N’ Flick in Carlsbad
I enjoy writing about summer events for others to enjoy in Carlsbad – and there are lots of them. Carlsbad’s outdoor movies are just one of many popular activities.
The 2018 Float N’ Flick in Carlsbad is a fun combination of a movie and warm water on a summer evening!! What could be better?
The Aquatic Center at Alga Norte Community Park is once again hosting Float N’ Flick, on Saturday August 25 beginning at 6 pm with the movie, “A Bug’s Life,” starting at dusk; the event ends at 10 pm.
The cost is $8 per person (children 3 and under are free), so bring your swim suits and pool floats and get ready for a good time; rings and tubes will be available to purchase, too. What could be more fun on a summer night floating in a warm pool watching a movie on the big inflatable screen!
The Dive in Grill will be open throughout the event for food and drinks, as always, offering burgers, chicken sandwiches and more. Be aware that outside food and drinks are not permitted!
Register online early, as only 600 wristbands will be sold for this event and must be purchased in advance. Wristbands can be picked up during normal business hours at the Alga Norte Aquatics Center beginning August 4th. Be careful with those wristbands as those that are lost or forgotten cannot be replaced at the event, and all sales are final.
