Carlsbad Real Estate News and Views: Carlsbad Celebrates Halloween in the Village 2018

Here's the REAL scoop on living in Carlsbad ~ beaches, things to do, places to eat, community events, and of course neighborhoods, homes and the Carlsbad real estate market in general, including surrounding communities like Encinitas, Cardiff, San Marcos, Oceanside, Solana Beach and Del Mar.

Carlsbad Celebrates Halloween in the Village 2018

2018 Halloween in the Village in Carlsbad

Halloween in the Village takes place in Carlsbad on Saturday October 27th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, with fun for all.

Halloween in the Village is another wonderful community event sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association, along with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad and Moms with Groms.

Halloween in the VillageGood news - the Halloween in the Village event is FREE (and so is the parking in Carlsbad!). But you can expect some crowds so plan on arriving early.

You can expect to see all sorts of costumes, of course, along with a pumpkin patch, art making projects, face painting, pumpkin bowling and a witch hat toss, and trick or treating at the local businesses.

There will also be a doggie costume contest at 4 pm, and photo selfie stations for terrific Halloween pics!

Halloween in the Village takes place in the Fountain Parking Lot at the corner of Grand Avenue and State Street (where the summer Flicks at the Fountain take place!).

And of course you can enjoy all the local retailers, and eateries, close by in the Village. Who knows what special Halloween offerings you might find?!

Good morning Jeff. Can remember the days when it was safe to wander the neighborhood in search of treats. Times have certainly changed! Enjoy the event.

As someone who celebrated halloween in a different era you learn to appreciate not only the fun of these events but also the safety for the kids that we didn't have to worry about.

Hey, I will be in the area on that day, I wonder if they would let me trick or treat, haha.  I don't plan on bringing a costume with me though.

Oh, what a fun event, Jeff! This reminds me, I HAVE to get my decorating done! It's been a bit busy and haven't even pulled the decorations out of the closet! Maybe this weekend...

Hi Endre Barath, Jr.

We don't dress up or really do much decorating, but the candy is always there for the trick or treaters, as long as we are home that night. Not this year, though. We'll have to warn the house-sitter!

That is so true. It's scary what you hear these days about this fun night. We won't be around that night this year!

Good afternoon Jeff - reading this reminds me that it is almost time to start working on window painting and pumpkin carving.  Halloween is one of the biggest commercial holidays of the year.

Hi Grant Schneider

It has really grown into quite the holiday, hasn't it? Time to dig out the few decorations we have, and get that pumpkin or two.

Have a great weekend!
