The fall is a time of many arts and crafts fairs in North County San Diego. Most recently we had the largest in the area, the Carlsbad Art Fair on Sunday November 2 (a semi-annual event).
On Saturday, November 8, Olivenhain, a beautiful rural equestrian community within Encinitas, will hosts its annual arts and crafts fair at the Olivenhain Meeting Hall on Rancho Santa Fe Road at 7th Street, just a short distance north of the heart of town (Rancho Santa Fe Road and Encinitas Boulevard).

The fair is in a beautiful part of town amidst the trees and surrounding the Old Meeting House, and with dozens of vendors is always well attended. This is another great place to start your holiday shopping. Admission is free, there is ample parking, and the fair runs from 9 am until 4 pm.

Jeff, I'm amazed at how many fun things there are to do around the Carlsbad area. This looks like beautiful surroundings as well in Olivenhain Crafts Fair .
Hi Jeff, One thing is certain. For people into arts and crafts around San Diego, there are so many things to get people out and doing things in the communities. It makes a pleasant way for new folks to meets some nice people in their community. I had been to this crafts fair a couple times and it was fun to see all the things that center around so many people's talents.
I'm trying to pack for NAR and I see 'craft fair' and 'equestrian' - - you know how to get my attention. Adore both - - and COWBOYS! XXOO
Jeff the Olivenhain Crafts Fair sounds like it could be pretty interesting. Hope you have fun if you end up going.
This looks like the way I'd love to spend a Saturday! Alas, I'm miles away, but did send this info to my daughter who lives there. thank you!
Jeff,
Should have known that Susie would be smiling at this. LOL
I like the real estate show!

Gena - I agree on both counts. There is a ton of stuff to do and I cannot keep up with it all. The Olivenhain area is beautiful and the craft fair is the highlight of the fall. I spent some time there this morning to help my wife and her friend set up and will be back later today after my open house.
William - I continue to be amazed at the number of small businesses in the arts and crafts arena here in San Diego, and it just keeps growing. There are more fairs like this around here than you can keep track of. This one is especially nice because of the size.
Susie - LOL. Sorry to distract you. I will share more photos from the event today. Hope you have fun at NAR.
Bill - it is a neat event, as many are in my area. I helped my wife set up this morning and there were a ton of neat booths. I may have to spend some money when I go back after my Open house. Need to start thinking about the holidays.
Thanks, Mara. I hope she stops by - it's a lot of fun adn in a beautiful setting.
Mike - agreed. Thanks for the compliment - will another another from today's event tonight or tomorrow.
