If you are looking for Roche Bobois, or the Italian manufacturers like B & B Italia, Cassina and Flou, you could be disappointed. But many homeowners are not in that league of furniture buying, and the options are many in this furniture cornucopia in San Marcos.
Furniture Row...yes, that's the name of the road just north of the 78 in San Marcos...offers a wealth of furniture buying (several dozen furniture stores), and some pretty good sales. Right now there are a number of liquidation and going out of business sales (sadly, some are signs of the times), but many of these places offer bargains all the time as well as a wealth of casual, indoor, outdoor, office and home furniture. You can also buy tile and other flooring, mattresses, and cabinetry. Ethan Allen, Plummers, and Thomasville are probably the most expensive from what I have experienced, with a good selection of contemporary and traditional furniture and home furnishings.

Jeff over here in Connecticut on the Berlin Turnpike we must have the same number of furniture stores also. It sure makes it easy when you are shopping, it does not take long to go from one to the other.
